"If you are considering a “sea-change” lifestyle Bluestone is appropriately set up for the live-aboard cruiser. She has very comfortably and safely indulged us this lifestyle for over 15 years. Bluestone has proven easy to sail as a couple, although there is ample space for a family to enjoy the lifestyle.
Bluestone is ready to head across the ocean or sail the tropical cruising grounds of South East Asia; Malaysia – Penang – Langkawi , into Thailand and beyond, await you. This idyllic lifestyle is enjoyed by many from all over the world and the adventures, lessons, friends, picturesque scenery and experience is second to none.
Australian Registered 15 mt ketch. Completed in 1988, this Epoxy coated ferro ketch is a classic design. Phenomenally strong, Bluestone was professionally built and lovingly maintained. Over the past couple of years the hull has been stripped back, re-epoxy coated and repainted (photos available), now just waiting on the final anti-foul paint and she’s ready to cruise. Mechanically, the generator has been totally rebuilt, a new (reconditioned) transmission installed, engine cooling system cleaned, and any necessary minor works so as to ensure she is as ready to go as possible. The rigging has been inspected and replaced as necessary, the furling system fully serviced and with new roller system, foils and forestay. All sails have been inspected and maintained as necessary, and a new mizzen sail fitted.
Timber fit-out throughout. She’s a solid, classic, comfortable yacht who’s seen many a happy hour with friends and family and many a tale to tell, not once giving us doubt about her ability to bring us safely to port or anchorage.
In 3 cabins she can sleep a family without being cramped, bring along guests or she is easily handled by 2 people. Galley comprising – stove top oven, microwave, under-bench 90lt fridge and separate 100lt freezer along with ample bench and storage space. In fact the entire storage space in the yacht is impressive."
